Good to see ANTR in the setlist. I love the whole album, but I'd go crazy if they play TCOT at the Chicago or LA shows, since it's my new fav song.

It'll be interesting to see what they play today in Bucharest. I bet they will play both ARoP and ANTR but im not sure about the rest...

A Nightmare To Remember: beautiful really beautiful live..!

My feelings from Prague show: Cynic - absolutely terrible!! !!...DT have good sound, loud but it was OK. Mike has not his day....there were some errors and also Petrucci has one mistake, but they are only people, not machines... MP is great showman - I love him!!! We were waiting for them about 1,5 hours till they came from the hall to bus. It was good idea because we make piture with Rudess Myung and Labrie. Mike and John did not came in front of the bus:-(, I was sad because I wanted to have picture with Mike.

Care to explain why they were terrible?  I saw them open for Opeth a few months ago and they were incredible...

Wettingen, not Wettington! :)

kind of sad to see ANTR on the setlist as we didn´t get it in gelsenkirchen :( but we hat it as soundcheck :P

First off. why wouldn't they play A Rite of Passage on PN? It's the lead single of their latest album. That's like asking Metallica not to play The Day Never Comes on their last tour or AC/DC not to play Rock And Roll Train when Black Ice came out. That's not a smart move to ignore your lead single live. More likely then not A Rite Of Passage will be played at almost, if not every Progressive Nation stop. I'm also going to throw out that A Nightmare To Remember will be on this upcoming tour a lot, Wither will make a few appearances and The Count of Tuscany will have at least make it into one show.

Regarding the second part.....I'm just guessing you haven't been here long enough.

Especially for the Prague and Budapest shows, can anybodytell me when did the doors open for the concert and exactly when did Dream Theater appeared on stage? I am trying to make my schedule for the upcoming Istanbul show.

DT appeared at 21:00....sorry but i dont know when did they open the doors...maybe at 18:00

The gates were opened at ca. 18:30, about 1 hour and 10 minutes before the opening act (Cynic) appeared on stage.

I'd advise not to plan too much ahead based on the trends observed at other venues, though, since they can vary vastly from location to location, some more frequented spots might have technical crew that get the preparations done faster.

Hmm, I wonder if they will play one of the new songs today besides A Rite Of Passage. A Nightmare To Remember might get played, but you never know.

Am I the only one surprised that ANTR is not the opener?   Maybe still too soon to release date.    I wonder if it will be the opener on PN.

Metallica and AC/DC are a bit different bands. I think most of DT fans (or at least me :P) would throw out songs like Constant Motion, A Rite of Passage and Forsaken for one full, epic song like Glass Prison, Octavarium or Count. I'm not saying Rite or CM are bad songs... they rock but not as much as GP or 8vm do.

yea, but DT is getting a very large surge of new fans right now, and they have to please them with the songs thy know as well. you have to please as many people as you an, and also try and get them to enjoy themselves as much as they can.
