CalebCook2112 HOLY BALLS Precisely!!! Also... HELLO INSTRUMENTAL MIX!!!! No offense, JLB, I'll still listen to the normal mix a lot more, but I love the idea of instrumental mixes of DT albums.
It was time, I felt, for an Agonizing Reappraisal of the whole scene.

Has anyone else noticed that we're still over 100 days for the release date?? (102 actually)... I really don't know what I'm gonna do... Sucks for me 'cause I haven't heard the new album snippet from the Eddie Trunk show and I'm planning not to listen to the single... I just wanna taste the new album entirely new. I wonder if I'll make it. And even more this time the tracklisting, the 3CD edition, the cover songs and the artwork make an awesome package... Not sure if I'll pass on the covers, tho.

Awesome news! That's pretty quick, June 23rd. 3 CD version: Good! I wonder: live recordings or studio recordings (Neal Morse style) I love the instrumental remixes idea. It's just an album of instrumentals :D To all those people who love to share their joy and happiness by writing down whatever they pretend to happen in their pants, can we finally stop that? I'm really growing more and more disgust against that. Maybe those who really did can keep on sharing it, so we can make fun of them, but all those others: please grow up. Or do you say that kinda stuff at our office as well when you receive your yearly bonus?

So, what's the actual point of the instrumental mixes? I know people are saying it's for the people who want an instrumental track on the album, but it's not like they WROTE an instrumental. Just curious.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK HOLY SHIT, BEST DAY EVER I woke up this morning thinking "yeah, Resident Evil 5 today. I'm not as excited as I would be for, say, the new DT album, but still..." Then I check the forum as soon as I get into work, and I officially crap myself with joy.

oh, I just realized Im going to the tuscany in the first week of june :D also, I was thinking about the cover art.. in I&W it was a little girl, now it's a little boy.. why is the elephant small compared to the boy? did the elephant paint the eye? and if, why? if the elephant painted the eye, he's not a normal elephant. If he's not a normal elephant why is he scared about the mouse? Is he scared about the mouse? What books is he standing on? Who shattered the jar (or whatever it is)? Why was the jar here in the first place? Is the bird going to (s)hit on the painting? ...

CyberShy I love the instrumental remixes idea. It's just an album of instrumentals :D Actually (and please do correct me if I'm wrong), the idea comes straight from the limited edition of Experiments in Mass Appeal, Frost*'s latest release, which was one of MP's faves last year... Well, maybe Mike had the idea too, maybe even before he evere gave EIMA a spin, but whatever : it's fucking cool nonetheless ! This was a great bonus thingy on EIMA and I'm just thrilled to see Mike including this on the new DT album. It's going to be AWESOME \o/

Exciting information, of course. I think the artistic direction for the cover is interesting. There's not much use guessing what it's going to sound like from the song titles, but that can happen in June. I'm definitely looking forward to putting some money away for this. :)

Great news! I like the album title and the cool song titles. Not that crazy about the cover though, maybe it will grow on me. Perhaps it will be a return to the "classic" sound from I&W and Awake, judging by the similarities between the covers. The Count of Tuscany sounds like it could be an epic Godfather saga, in many movements and chapters. Only three months to go....

I want to know why in the world that song is called The Count of Tuscany. That would be cool if were influenced by Italian music. I also love the title "Wither." It doesn't sound like anything they've done before. It almost sounds like it would be an Opeth song title.
