Love the artwork by the way! And the tittle too. The track list looks very interesting. I don't agree that the track names suggest a fantasy theme for the album. The only one that resembles a little of SC is "A Nightmare to Remember".

Clearly "The Best Of Times" is the "slow" song of the album.

Now, we can start guessing about the matchs for the songs that MP mentioned in a previous post... The Glass Prison, Learning To Live, Octavarium, Pull Me Under? Any others? I don't remember...

I'm excited, but at the same time somewhat disappointed. I was hoping that they would release more songs on the new album. I'm sure they are going to be long (like 10-12 min. each, with the exception of the single), but I had the expectation that they were going the "scenes from a memory" route in terms of # of songs recorded.

Come June 23rd my opinion will almost certainly change.

Love the cover art, though.  And the song titles.  Very TOT-reminiscent (except The Count Of Tuscany...  I'm reserving judgment on that one, although I'm sure it will rock).  I've got a very good feeling about this.

The six cover songs should be interesting to hear, also.  Do we dare to start guessing what they will be?

Considering that A Rite of Passage will be the single, and most certainly be released before the tour starts, I'd say they will play that song. As for the rest, I don't know. If AROP (I love how we will start using new acronyms now!) is 8 minutes long, and the album is 70 minutes long (give or take, you know the deal with DT), that leaves us with around 12 minute per song out of the other 5 songs... I woulnd't expect them to play more than one of those songs, if they should play any song at all.

^ MP said the first song they wrote for the album is 15 minutes long on his Score commentary.

I dig mellow, life affirming songs, but then again, the despairic, heavy and dark aspect of some of DT's music has always been a source of my enduring interest in the band.  Looks like there is a fair portion here, at least from the name of the album.  Life is but dark clouds and silver linings.  Someone said to me earlier tonight "death and despair seem to follow you lately."  Lots of silver fucking lining also.  Such is life, and music.  Bring it on.
