For fans of Riverside!

So I have recently come across something new. Mariusz Duda who is the singer and bass player for the band Riverside has a solo album that I had never heard of. Its called Lunatic Soul. Something that caught my ear at the first listen was the lack of electric guitar. I don't want to spoil a bunch about this band but I recommend them to any Riverside fan out there. I know there are at least a couple on the boards. Here are a couple links http://www.myspace.com/lunaticsoulband http://www.lunaticsoul.com/

It's a pretty good solid album...I dig it a lot..In fact I listened to the album yesterday twice...very atmospheric and laid back and has a lot ethnic rhythms as well...

Got it a month ago and quickly became a CD I listened to over and over again! I've probably listened to it 2 dozen times - probably more. Great stuff - atmospheric and very cool. Definitely has a connection to Riverside, but it still has it's own identity. I agree that's something every Riverside fan should pick up if they haven't already.
Ever wonder if DT is gonna ever play your city or why they haven't played there yet? Click here to find out.

Wow, this is some great stuff. I just checked the promo list at Ultimate Metal, and it looks like we have a promo waiting for review, so that's a bonus. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Been listening to this a lot lately, and it's truly a fantastic record. Just finished writing up a review of it, which you can check out here. More people should look into this stuff.

I just read about it in Progression magazine and the reviewer panned it. He reckons this is a vocalist's album where you can' hear the vocals over the mix - in fact everything else is way over the vocals. Also it doesn't have a guitarist playing on it - have to listen to myspace

I don;t know how I missed it but the second album came out last month. Needless to say I've been listening to it for the last week and I'm really enjoying it. On par with the 1st one. The last song Wanderings is beautiful. Mariusz seems to do no wrong in my eyes.
The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen? Yes. May I see it? ...No.
