I bought the Genesis 1976-1982 and 1983-1998 box sets today, so all of those albums. And god help me, after all the negative things I've heard about it, I find myself loving Calling All Stations. The singer's no Gabriel or Collins, but it's still great stuff.

Unbelievable21 PincheJoto Grizzly Bear Veckatimest Awesome album. Ready, Able is amazing. I actually don't think it's that awesome. Could have been 15-20 minutes shorter. The second half is particularly boring at times. The first few songs are excellent, though.

Yeah, if anything it could be one of those "grower" records, but so far the first two songs are the ones that really pack a punch.

Not a fan of Veckatimest, listened to it 5 times and nothing but Two Weeks and Cheerleader really sunk in. Might give it another go soon.
We'll still have her song to sing. Sing softly, bring me to the lake. Sing softly, sing me to the lake.

Listening through Anthrax lately. First run, here's my thoughts. Fistful of Metal: Good stuff. Basic metal Spread the Disease: Joey's voice is much better. Better album all around Among the Living: About the same. Not much of an improvement over StD State of Euphoria: Again, about the same. Persistence of Time: Maturing more now. Better album than the last three by far. Sound of White Noise: John Bush era. Very mature sound album. Between this and Persistence of Time I think are the best of Anthrax. Stomp 442: Not as good as Sound of White Noise but good album. A bit repetitive in the vocals. Also I prefers Joey's voice over John's. Joey's voice is much more defined and clear. John tends to rasp and growl. Also the lyrics are incredibly darker with John Bush. Joey was a lot more fun with the lyrics. This is almost akin to when David Lee Roth left Van Halen and in comes Sammy Hagar.
