DT "Chaos In Motion" DVD - AVAILABLE NOW!!

Just checked the CDUniverse site and its cheaper than Amazon, BUT in the description it says '1 Disc'.....where Amazon clearly denotes 3DVD/2CD's.  Not sure if this really means anything though.
 

What about just the DVD, how much will that be?

The "discs: 1" is obviously an error, as there are only 2-disc and 5-disc versions being released. At the top of CDUniverse's listing, it says, "Dream Theater Chaos In Motion 2007-2008with DVD CD", so I'd have to imagine that it is the 5-disc set.
 
As far as the price difference, you really can't tell yet. Amazon.com's preorder listings nearly always come down before the release date, and they price guarantee it so that you get their cheapest price, even if it was higher when the order was placed. Amazon's price for "Chaos In Motion" has already come down since I preordered mine, and with several weeks to go yet, I suspect that it will come down more. So, even though the Amazon listing right now has a higher price, that doesn't necessarily mean that preordering from CDUniverse will actually be cheaper.

Does anyone know if the five disc collector's set will be available outside the US? The reason I ask is that I don't want to pre-order it & pay the extra shipping just for it to be available locally straight away. I have searched & looked at the Australian Roadrunner site but there seems to be no news of it. I'd love to be able to pick it up at a local store the day it's released... Also, it would count as a local sale which helps everyone...

 
Hey Mate!!! I've been checking the JB Hi Fi website pretty much daily for details on this DVD/CD. They haven't had anything yet and when I asked them instore they knew nothing about it (doesn't mean they are not going to have it though) but the Roadrunner Australia website has the same press release as everywhere else so you would assume we would be getting the whole thing. I would be very surprised if after DT touring to Australia for the first time that Roadrunner wouldn't release the 5 disc edition here. The worst thing that could happen would be that we would have to wait a bit!! I am more than happy to do that...:-)

Yeah I know but at least if we wait we will credit DT with more sales in Australia rather than in America.

If I choose not to pre-order the dvd/cd package , will I be able to grab it at BestBuy on the release date ?

Didn't see this anywhere else; Amazon.co.uk has the single edition for £14.99; not the special edition, which Play.com has for £17.99...tough choice?! lol

I think Jordan messes up the solo thing with the pitch. He bended it to much. I belive I heard it on utube. Wonder if they have "corrected it"?

^^^You ARE missing something. 23rd of September 2008, would be that date, though some sites say 29th of September and in Germany it's gonna be obviously the 19th.

It's essentially a travelogue of their most recent touring experience and it hits shelves on September 23.
 
However, any U.S. site (amazon, best buy, cduniverse, etc.) has it releasing Sept. 30th.  Internationally it may be different.
