i thought for sure mike would throw in The Spirit Carries on from Minneapolis, but there is enough other amazing things on this for me!

Why would he? It's been on two official DVD releases in the past eight years already.

It was an especially touching version, it was dedicated to the victims of the bridge collapse here just about a week before that show, just about the whole audience was in tears.

Just wondering : Do you think the actual audio/video quality will be as good as their latest DVDs? I figured that since they had to set up everything for the recording at many shows, maybe everything wouldn't be as perfect as for their latest DVDs, where they had to set things up for only one crucial night.

I will definitely be picking this one up as the Collector's Edition. This sounds absolutely incredible.
 
Only thing I have to ask is...I know it didn't mention anything about it, but are they not doing an audio commentrary once again?

I was on Codine when I wrote that message.  Therefore I am excused...

The collector's edition will be mine, regardless of the cost. After spending as much as I did for the Lifting Shadows book set, I can't possibly wimp out on an item of this magnitude. No one takes care of their fans like Dream Theater. Thanks for all you do, James, John P, Jordan, John M and (of course) Mike. Yet another reason why this band is, was, and always will be my favorite band ever.

Nice, a lot of songs on there that haven't been on the last few major DVDs. I didn't expect it to be out in September already, that will be a great birthday present of sorts for me, too! Looking forward to picking it up at the store.

Can't wait to get this, seems like a good year for music dvd's for me, got th enew Lamb of God DVD, so many more I plan on getting including the new DT DVD, the LTE DVD...heard rumors of a Nevermore DVD as well, wow...should be great year :)

Soooo... 5.1? Or will this only be in stereo? I just really want to know...

Very good question....
 
As this wasnt ONE specific show with a massive filming and pre-production budget (like Budokan and Score), the footage is indeed not as "polished" as the footage on the last 2 DVD's....
The footage is a bit more raw...everything is indeed still multi-camera shoots and looks great....just dont expect a prestine, super-lush production like Score and Budokan.
 
So, think more "5YIALT" and you'll get the picture....
 
And Kevin Shirley did mix the whole thing (in stereo and 5.1), so the audio also kicks ass!!

For anyone that has already seen the Chile 05 dvd (the supposed to be on next YJR batch) I believe this next release will be the same quality.

Thanks for answering to my 5.1 query, Mike. I just can't wait for this one. I also wish the Chile show is next for YJR. Too bad there won't be a commentary, but a feature length documentary is more than good enough for me.

I wonder if there would be commentary.

Well there is a stage tour, backstage tour, and a 90 minute documentary..so I wouldnt worry about having commentary also :P
