ORIGINAL: zhifmcd ORIGINAL: Jokerman I can has Voices? Not seen Voices live(/any Awake songs), don't get it on DVD/CD. Rest looks stunning though, 5 Disks , Scarred, Blind Faith, Shmedley Wilcox, Take the Time, documentary, bastage/stage tour ,there goes my savings. Whats next another JP Rig tour?? Thank you Mike Wow, made it to page three before someone started bitching this time ... Next time I won't say "Thank you Mike" for the almost perfect tour and DVD/CD set?

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, it's just that whenever a new DT release comes out there's always those who complain about what it doesn't have, no matter how much it does have. If DT relased a new boxed set of live material that included every song in their catalogue, including Space-Dye Vest featuring Kevin Moore, someone would gripe because they didn't include a cover version of Hotel California.

ORIGINAL: ShadowWalker ORIGINAL: Dream Team Why on earth wouldn't you want the DVDs???? I can't speak for DTChemist, but for me, I listen to my live DT CDs a lot more than I watch my live DVDs. We get 3 of their greatest songs not previously available on a high-quality DVD (Scarred, LiTS, BF), plus 5 of their new songs for the first time, plus a sweet new version of Surrounded, plus a cool medley . . . not sure what you don't like? Just curious. With regards to the setlist, the are many (including myself) that were not all that into the new material, so having 6 of 8 SC tracks does not make it a selling point for a segment of the fanbase. For me personally, the selling point is the older tracks, particularly the reworked version of Surrounded. That was the stand out track from the two shows I saw on the Chaos in Motion tour and I will be happy to have an HQ version. Agreed. I'll watch the DVDs maybe once a year if that. The CDs I will listen to multiple times a month. I listen to music during my work commute, and then iPod (with all my CDs loaded onto it) at work and home when I'm working. The CDs will get much more use than the DVDs....I usually wait to find the DVDs used for cheap.
I got no distance left to run...

ORIGINAL: Dream Team ORIGINAL: DTChemist ^^Does this all mean we can't by *just* the CDs but have to buy the CD/DVD set, similar to Rush's R30 set? Why on earth wouldn't you want the DVDs???? Because they won't get nearly the use/bang for the buck that the CDs will from me. See previous post from me. But, like Rush R30, looks like I'll have to buy the Deluxe Set to get it, which is OK with me.

BTW, if tracklisting is subject to change, adding Misunderstood would be a greeeeat idea! but if it's not possible, I don't mind, cause this DVD will rock! (I'm just saying it before someone starts bitching about me bitching).

ORIGINAL: goodforgolf ORIGINAL: dreamlte2 Few bands inspire such fanaticism... The best way to satiate this dedicated legion... more material to devour... a travelogue... traversing the globe... the entirety of the tour... Mike Portnoy plumed his personal archives... unprecedented access. Holy classic case of oversell Batman! But seriously, sounds cool, can't wait to get my hands on it! I hope it really does satiate me! (I think) Holy classic over analysis.

Im pretty speechless. vancouver being on the dvd is enough...but what an amazing setlist!!! and to whoever said they want voices on there...its on live scenes from new york and five years in a livetime. I was disappointed too but then i realized its on 2 releases so its all good.. the set for this dvd is AMAZING!!! i cannot freaking wait...i will definitely be getting the mammoth 5 disc set. Thanks Mike!!!!! Edit: i would love to find out where each track is taken from. I read where he took the tracks from but im curious as to where is each track is from specifically. And MA singing repentance? Easter Egg?

Awesome 5 disc set! Mike & the guys have gone the extra mile this time... Hope there is some sort of band commentary on the live shows although most probably the documentary would cover that angle...

Despite it not being the complete concert, every song on the Once in a Livetime CD is from the Paris concert. This new DVD/CD package will be the first time DT has officially released a live package drawn from multiple cities and concerts.

ORIGINAL: Bubba (still hoping for a Blu-ray release) I don't think this was filmed in HD, but I could be wrong. It would be great if Mike could clarify this and tell us when we can expect Blu-ray versions of Score and Live at Budokan (which WERE filmed in HD) while he's at it.

ORIGINAL: dreamlte2 4. Blind Faith 5. Surrounded (2007 version I guess?) 8. Lines In The Sand 11. The Ministry Of Lost Souls 12. Take The Time 13. In The Presence Of Enemies Worth getting for these here alone! Haven't seen TMOLS live yet and it'll be great to have a live version of Take The Time where James doesn't screch as badly as on the old Live in Tokyo video.

Mike always seems so up to date on new technology that it would be plausible that this could be an HD release. The fact that it spread over several shows leads me to believe it will not though. I would love to have Blu-Ray versions of Score and LaB. Score looks so much better on the MHD re-broadcast than the actual DVD playback in my Blu-Ray player. Budokan looks great but is missing the detail of a true HD format. Either way, I can't wait. I'm just happy that ITPOE was included. The second disc with the screen playbacks will be great (TDEN)!
