its 45$ in amazon. i only have 43 $ in my internet shopping limit. damn it.

Keep an eye on it. Amazon's prices fluctuate, and they guarantee the lowest price for preorders. It was $49.99 when I preordered, but then dropped to $44.99, then $39.99 (which is the current price of my preorder, based on their guarantee), then back up to $41.49, and now $44.98. It may very well go down again.

Looks like the DVD/CD combo may be sold out at FYE.com already. When I search for "Dream Theater Chaos Motion" now it doesn't come up (just the DVD set).

only 5000 copies of the dvd+cd bundle?

Hmmm.... I just went back through the thread and used a previous link to FYE, and it's still listed there, but if you click on it to order it, the price jumps up to $107.97! And, as noted above, it doesn't come up at all with a search.

Glad you posted that, seems the 2DVD set is cheaper than Amazon, but we'll see when they add shipping...

I just saw, only 5,000 copies?!?!?... Do you think I will be S.O.L. going to a store and finding it first thing in the morning on September 30th?   Or should I just Pre-Order... im greedy and need The collectors edition.  Thanks for your help..as always!  (I should stop thanking you guys everytime!  You all help out sooo much! And my thanks is going to start losing its meaning haha!)

I wouldn't wait.  If this really is limited to 5,000, I have little doubt DT fans will sell it out on pre-orders alone, especially considering DT DVD's usually end up #1 on the sales charts of the major online stores largely from pre-orders.
 
BTW, I got my download code for the mp3 from FYE and just grabbed it.  Sounds pretty damn awesome!!

Like many of you, I pre-ordered from FYE...Although I have the store right across the street from me, Saw the 5000 thing and said "screw it, have to pre-order to make sure I get the deluxe even if it comes a day or two later"
Wondering......I still haven't received a confirmation e-mail from FYE or the free gift MP3 download ..Approx how long till i get this ? THANKS !!!

I pre-ordered Monday afternoon from FYE and got the mp3 link on Tuesday.  My confirmation e-mail was pretty immediate though - I'd call and check your order if you don't get anything within a few hours - wondering if maybe they've already outsold what they expect to get in and are going to start rejecting orders.  Hopefully not, but it's a possibility with their offering it at the lowest price available right now...

Because it seems to be limited to 5000 copies worldwide i've had to bite the bullet & pre-order. It's a shame because it will be one less local sale shown for Australia... It's been that way for me since Awake apart from Systematic Chaos which I picked up locally. But I don't want to risk losing out if I wait. Plus, I'm sure my copy will arrive before the local 18th Oct release date anyways.

does anyone know if they'll be selling the 3 discs(as in the audio ones) separately ?.......i keep hearing about the dvds and the 5 disc set, but i havent heard anything about that  :s

While there's no official statement, it was originally 23/09 but every reference to a release date now says 30/09 so I think it was pushed back a week.

I live in Belgium and I bought the DVD today.

Play.com in the UK says it is out the 29th. I have the DVD/CD set on Pre-order.

So, all of us that have already ordered the Deluxe Edition no matter which site, Can we rest and be sure that we have a copy reserved for us? are this sites goin' to "close" the orders of the Deluxe Edition as soon as they get out of stock? Or we must wait til the release date to know if we got our copy or not?

$35.99?? damn it!!! I'd like to change my order to Amazon, but Cduniverse hasn't refund me the money when I made the pre-order

If there really is a limited pressing of 5,000, and they don't cap the pre-orders, so that there are people who thought they ordered it (like me), and didn't get it, this will have turned into the largest pile of crap, ever.

Not as far as the DVD is concerned, just as far the handling of pre-orders are concerned.
