I thought I would ask this because of a thread about your interview in Heaven's Metal a few years ago. Also, with the work you have done with Neal Morse lately along with the lyrics for Glass Prison, I got curious if we could add anything to the FAQ.

In that thread(HM interview thread) it was asked what you said in that interview. Since I have that issue I was able to post a lot of what you said. Basic summary is that you believe in Jesus but aren't really religious.

With The Glass Prison you wrote some lyrics that while suggesting you still hold the same beliefe that you did then, you may have become more religious.

So the question becomes, would you say that with your compulsiveness that you so often refer to, that you did indeed need an "unearthly" force(as JP puts it) to break that glass? The prayer in the song "thy will be done" of course from the Lord's prayer and what Jesus said when facing the unpleasent prospect of hangin on a cross. Upon doing that the door is open. In that, would you say Neal had any influence in that area? I know with his conversion to Chrsitianity your personal lyrics have taken a turn on the more spiritual which in the Heaven's Metal interview you said was more(then) Kevin's thing.

I'll certainly understand if this is deleted and I don't want to push or anything. I just thougth it would be interesting for a lot of people to know if you had changed much from the answers you gave in that interview some 7 or 8 years ago. I am also (to simplify all that mess above...I am a bit long winded sometimes lol) mostly interested in what affect Neal might have had on the way you thought about that subject considering your more recent lyrics. I know I have thought of writing Doug Van Pelt and suggesting that he begin doing followups to those past columns as people change and get more or less famous and since the styles of music have changed some of the past interviewers aren't much to be heard of anymore.

I can say one thing haveing read a bunch of those interviews. You were one of the most gracefull people ever in it. Some of the answers given in anger and non cooperation but you were honest and even though you weren't totally comfortable with the questions you tried. And that was the first interview I read where you mentioned hating the triggered snare on Images And Words. lol. I thought "ooh how provacative to criticise the producer of you album that you are on tour supporting." lol The first incling that you say what you say when you say it. With double albums and DVD's it must be working.
