Tickets for BB's all sorted! Now there's the small matter of the plane fare This is gonna be awesome.

I think Ticketmaster just killed this for me. I can't rationalize spending 33% extra just on fees to see a damn show.

I hope the show sells out and I'm sure it'll be a great event, but if this is the way Ticketmaster is going to keep going unchecked, I guess I can just get used to not seeing concerts anymore.

Thanks for saying that Rane.  There simply is no justification for this insanity!  I'm pretty much reserving my money for real real special concerts.

 Gotta be one of the lamest things I've ever read. Look, everyone has their right to spend their own money as they please, but to justify NOT GOING to something by breaking down into a percentage basis the fees TM is charging is just ridiculous. They are a BUSINESS! I don't like their fees either, but it's not like they are THAT outlandish. You either want to go to a show or not. That's it.

Also, what on earth is a more "special" concert if you are a DT fan than seeing LTE?

Just makes no sense.

I'm assuming after the performance would be the most convenient for everyone?  I'm definitely in if we can find a place nearby that allows people under 21 to come (my younger brother will only be 16 and it would suck to not be able to go because of that).

I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me that if you catch one of these shows, you're going to get to see A LOT...

All of their true "songs" added up clock in at just over 1.25 hours....

So that includes Paradigm Shift, Kindred Spirits, Freedom of Speech, Universal Mind, Acid Rain, Biaxident, Another Dimension, and When the Water Breaks...

Now given, they're definitely likely to jam, or play some of their more jam-based songs.  I definitely see a Chris & Kevin thing happening somewhere, or other off-beat tracks like 914, Osmosis, etc.

With all that in mind, I am NOT missing this opportunity!!!

I wonder what Magna Crappa has to say about an official cd/dvd release.

That was my first thought on reading folks saying "Record a DVD!".  I still cannot believe they were so stupid as to do what they did with MP's 2nd drumming video.  Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

I just hope if Magna Carta makes things difficult, MP and them just "accidently" have the soundboard tapes leak as well as have an open videotaping policy at the shows.

It will be a fabulous "experiment". No doubt about it.
And it will be recorded perhaps ... for the "unlucky" fans to see it as well.

yeah, i work directly across the street from BB Kings so I went down the other day and picked em up at the box office...$37 (FUQ TICKETSMAKER)

I also hope for a live CD/DVD. But I'm definitely going to be in San Fransisco on June 28th. Nice little 10 hour drive.
 
This is going to be a killer year for music. Dream Theater coming to Seattle in May, LTE in San Fransisco in June.
 
But you know what would also be killer?

I only got a confirmation, but considering the nearest TM booth is approx. err... across the ocean, that'll be difficult for me to verify before actually arriving to NYC. I admit I'm a little anxious to drop by at the BB's the night of the show only to learn I ain't got no tickets (damn that would suck), but a friend of mine made the trip to the Score gig from Belgium and had no problem getting his tickets then. So I figured it will be ok !

I never saw anything at the Vic that wasn't done through the Master, Master...Master of Tickets is pulling the strings. But if you say The Amazing Journey tix were done that way...then I too am scared. I'd guess we'll hear it here first.

Due to overwhelming demand, Liquid Tension Experiment will play a 2nd show at BB King's on Monday June 23rd.

The 8pm show is already sold-out, but tickets for the 11:30pm show will go on sale this Monday March 31st at 10am
