I think the SE package is gonna be something like the latest Maiden album: A double case CD (CD + DVD) with the same artwork as the regular version, inside something like a paper box (don't know how to name it correctly) with the new artwork.

So, unless you want to support the band by buying both versions (something that probably I'm gonna do ), it will be redundant to by both versions.

The SE-cover is the best DT cover for sure! Although I don't understand the cover yet. I can't make a link between the image and the lyrics (see other thread) yet. If the music is as good as the cover is beautiful, we are in for something great! Thnx for the documentary as well .

I don't have 5.1 either, but I would get the Special Edition just for the cover art, even if it didn't have the DVD documentary!

Man that looks awesome. The cover for the special edition is so much better than the standard cover (which I already thought was amazing). I hope they make a lot of these, cause knowing DT fans they are gonna sell like 10 copies of the standard edition and all the rest will be the special edition

Special editions, music videos; sounds like the switch to Roadrunner was just the thing they needed at this point in thier career. I have not been tis excited for a DT release since SFAM.

It's being released on my birthday! How cool is that?!!

I love turning on my computer and finding good news....

Finally, a new DT video...I love the album artwork. I have been more excited about Snakes and Arrows sinice I heard Far Cry, but from what I gather, the album is not "Classic Rush" at all, and it has become a marketing ploy.

I now am more excited about the DT album in regards to content itself. This is simply amazing.

I must agree that the SE cover looks even better than the RE.

I remember Mike saying that the band wouldn't be interested in doing another music video, and that they'd rather spend a videobudget on a dvd. I would think, in the case with Roadrunner, that we most likely will be getting both in the future. Wouldn't bet on a new concert dvd this time around though. The making of-documentary is even better.

The artwork for the CD/DVD Special Edition is quite frankly amazing.

Another landmark Christmas Day in the DT world.  Phenomenal news to wake up to.  Cool artwork on the Special Edition also.  I'll of course pick up both versions of the release, +.  Can't wait to check out the Constant Motion video.  A CD/Video CD single perhaps?
