Saddest day in music history.

DoctorX: "I can't believe the news today I just can't close my eyes and make it go away" Music has had several black days. I can't look back on days like Stevie Ray Vaughn, or Randy Rhodes' plane crash, or John Bonham, Keith Moon's overdoses, or Michael Hedges, Cliff Burton or Criss Oliva's car accidents, and not weep. I wonder what Frank Zappa would have done if he hadn't succumbed to cancer, or where Rush might have gone, had they not fired Terry Brown. Where would Primus be today, if they still had Tim Alexander? What moments still make you cry for lost innocence, and sigh for the longing of what might have been?

Hey Doc, There are MANY moments like this for me... You named several of mine already.. However, hands down - the saddest one for me was December 8th 1980. (John Lennon's murder) It was like hearing that one of my family members was killed. I layed in bed all night that night in total disbelief. I remember the international 10 minutes of silence on TV and radio the following week and crying like a baby during that... MP
