Dream Theater European Tour Dates - Summer 2007 (complete itinerary!)

I haven't been online much this week.  Now I am, I see dates announced.

"Great!", I think.  My dad's been dying to see Dream Theater for years, but they never play Newcastle, and as he's registered disabled with his back I need a venue where I know they have seats.

So DT are playing Newcastle City Hall, and we live as near as dammit to Newcastle.  I figured we could get a nice balcony seat.

FUCKING SOLD OUT!!!

This can't be right.

Well, I've managed to get tickets through a website that wasn't Ticketmaster, but they're right up in the rear balcony.
 
I guess the main thing is that we'll be there.  I just can't believe people from all over the country are buying up these tickets as though it'll be the only UK date that DT play.  And to my knowledge, it's the first time DT have played Newcastle as well.

i'm dying to see the 29 june. and i will be there if i won't die before "the day"..  and i'll try to find some space behind Jordan.. hope to learn sth from him. and please DT..make a playlist like 10 hours long..

 Just go to the hall on the day of the gig,they always have tickets for sale that have been handed back ,or from promoters etc,and they're usually front rows !!!!!!!!!...........i have two spare tickets at the mo but they may be already spoken for!

Cynic?  THE Cynic?!!  Wow, I'm really out of it, I had no idea they were getting together this year.  DT + Cynic makes the greatest concert Ive ever heard of in my entire life.

Im so damn jealous now I could spit.

I actually wanted balcony seats, as that's what my dad would prefer, so he can sit as much as possible and thus not get back pain.  I just would have liked them closer to the front of the balcony!  Plus, I'd then have paid for two pairs of tickets, which I don't much fancy doing.

It's OK, beggars can't be choosers and at the end of it all, I'm taking my dad to a Dream Theater show!

Anyway, I'm facing a little logistical problem living in Barcelona, going to Granada on Friday and coming back to Zaragoza to see the Monsters of Rock. Don´t know which one to choose... :(
 
But maybe a weekend on Malaga beach will win this time.

If I'd have to choose I'd take Granada anytime since it's a headlining show and it will last longer than the festival performance.

Here's one, however, planning to attend to both shows

The Zaragoza show is also interesting because of bands like Mastodon and Blind Guardian, but I prefer attending a headlining show with a good opening band to going to a festival. And Zaragoza is a lot more distant for me to travel.

I hope to see some tour from BCN to Gods of Metal.. all my "problems" will be solved and I can stay the weekend on Granada.

awesome! i'm waiting for the south american dates! i heard somewhere that the ones who brought DT to Argentina had been total dicks to the band because they treated DT like they were some shitty band only because they are not so mainstream... or something like that... is that by any chance true?

Dream Theater are doing always at least six shows in Germany per European leg on their headliner tours. So you will have the opportunity to see multiple shows later this year I´m pretty sure. We Germans really can´t complain for I guess we have the most shows per km². And think of all the countries around you could visit to see the band...!
