If I had someone to go with I would go to this concert. I am scared of being in Turkey alone.

Well allright then but I still think you mean something very bad.I think you are being pretty prejudice or believe what you hear around.I mean even bands love Turkey.Like Anathema buying a summer house here,or Kevin Moore living in Istanbul.Every foreigner I know who has been here loves it very much here.

As a female, traveling alone to a place I am not familiar with is what scares me. Don't be quick to judge.

Ytsejammers Israel is ready for its 6th Journey overseas and 2nd time to Turkey. Our last visit there, 4.5 years ago was the first time ever Dream Theater came to Turkey and the atmosphere was the best we've ever been to in DT concerts, the best crowd definitely!!!

I think that it's kickass that DT can play in Turkey. From the promotion angle (lots of pieces have to fall into place for success, as we've seen in the issues with some past attempts), to the fanbase (fans travelling to the show from all over the region, apparently) and the fact that a band from Long Island, NY USA has such a vast worldwide appeal is just fucking awesome. Certainly speaks to the power of music!
I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. -Thomas Jefferson, letter to Francis Hopkinson, March 13, 1789
