There´s no doubt Mike´s keeping us excited (revealing new info about the album every week) and it´s great ´cos the time seems to be running faster this way. I just wonder what will fill up the time till the release date when Mike´s run out of all the possible info...we´ll all have gone crazy with the anticipation by the time of the release date. June´s so far  And I hope I won´t have to fight the temptation of downloading the album from somewhere on the net before it is officially released. I don´t want to hear anything till I hold the CD in my hands. Fuck June´s so far

You know, guys. Mike is just as eager to release this album as we are eager to get it. So that leads me to two questions for Mike 1.) Any chance of a little preview just for us? Just a small taste of it until the main course? 2.) Any chance of you guys coming to Portland, OR? I'm sure my band, Tragic Circus, wouldn't mind being a "local opening act." *hint* Mike, thanks for the info. I can't wait to get this album. I know like every Dream Theater album, this will floor me and leave my jaw dropped. And is it just me, or does John Myung look gangsta in the most recent band picture?

I really hope Mike keeps giving us new info every other week or so, i mean no other band does that and its just beyond awsome. Im hoping he gives us mabey the track lengths next, so we can atleast settle this Epic debate....and if he was to give us an acual preview of a song i think i would just start dancing asap.

the track lengths are not the only indicator for an epic. Sacrificed Sons is about 11 minutes long, but it is an epic.

All titles indeed sound very heavy, but I hope the new album won't be TOT2. I mean more prog and diverse, definitely less metal. It's a pity that the working title for the epic, "The Pumpkin King" will not appear on the new album eventually. I got used to this title ;) And it sounds great ;) I think In The Presence of Enemies will be an epic, but split into two parts like Shine On You... I hope Prophets Of War won't be another protest song, another Anti-Bush song or Anti-America Song... Constant Motion IMO seems to be an instrumental track. I'm looking forward to know track lenghts.

i sometimes can't believe the fans (i mean us) that we start diggin' something without hearing ANYthing... so how can you say the lyrics are gonna be in a religious way when you just know the titles of it? BUT one thing for sure it's gonna be one of the darkest albums in the DT history... sorry am i did the same thing that i did mentioned before. i guess so  , i think i'm lost, i fully know myself these are the signs that i can't wait till june

Out of curiousity, can you name the previous anti-Bush and anti-America songs DT have done... I'm getting older and my memory's not what it used to be. For the life of me, I just can't remember what they were. I hope Prophets of War is another protest song. There's absolutely nothing in the universe more deserving of scrutiny, criticism, condemnation, scorn, and protest than wars and the people responsible for them. And intelligent songwriters are just as good a source of that as any other media. Also, as before, I'm sure they'll be dealing with the philosophical and political issues or concepts as opposed to directly criticizing a particular figure. The current war(s) will end, but sadly the behaviors that lead to them are unlikely to anytime soon. I'd think the band would want their song to be applicable and critical of those behaviors rather than something/someone that will (hopefully) soon just be an unpleasant memory and a paragraph in a high school history textbook.
