Welcome to Dream Theater chapter II. Most intriguing and thought provoking combination of album title and tracks to date. The needle on my speculation meter is maxed out in the all red zone I hope this album really does it for you Mike. New barriers broken, new heights attained.

1. In The Presence of Enemies Pt.1- Do 1 and 8 combine to make the epic? 2. Forsaken 3. Constant Motion - Sounds like a certain DVD I am currently waiting for. 4. The Dark Eternal Night 5. Repentance - Probably the AA track. 6. Prophets of War - O, the memories 7. The Ministry of Lost Souls 8. In The Presence of Enemies Pt.2 - See 1

Hallelujah for Rush, Porcupine Tree, Redemption, Tori Amos, YTSEJam releases, Amazing Journey, and hopefully Neal Morse (what's the word on that one MP? ) to hold me over until June. Let the countdown begin. 104 days.
In the dead of night, Rob bites, Rob bites...

ORIGINAL: Setlist Scotty BTW, this is only a guestimate on my part, but I'm thinking that Constant Motion's an instrumental and that In the Presence of Enemies is the 25 minute epic MP had referred to, altho split up into the 2 parts. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about ITPOE. I hope they don't split it in half though (if that is indeed the epic). Would rather have it as a full 25 minute song with no interruptions.

To follow up on my thoery from earlier on the Christianity stuff. It popped into my head that there is a type of theology called systematic theology. "Systematic theology is the attempt to formulate a coherent philosophy which is applicable to the component parts of a given faith's system of belief. Inherent to a system of theological thought is that a method is developed, one which can be applied both broadly and particularly. While a systematic theology must take into account the sacred texts of its faith, it also looks to history, philosophy, science, and ethics to produce as full a view and as versatile a philosophical approach as possible." -Wikipedia. Call me crazy, but based on the lyrics I heard on the studio, the song titles, and this whole idea, I think I'm on to something. Maybe each track takes on different idea from the systematic way of thinking. I'd love to hear other peoples' ideas on this.

Dang!!! This sounds freakin' sweet!!! I can't wait to hear it!!
There is no other band like Dream Theater. They are the quintessential musicians of our time, and the best band I've ever heard. The music industry wouldn't be the same without them.

ORIGINAL: Setlist Scotty On a more serious note, thanx for sharing the track listing with us Mike! Woohoo! Can't wait to get the new one! BTW, what have you got against obscure Polish fan sites anyway? ORIGINAL: Wonderland Maybe Presence of Enemies will be like Shine on You Crazy Diamond.. with DT.. ooohhh That was my first thought upon seeing the two parts book end the whole album. Really tho, I'd bet its more just the concept of an epic split in two parts to be at the beginning and end. First PF, then PT and now DT...OMG ITZ A NUGGITT!!!!11!1 Count me in as one who thought of SYOCD when seeing the Presence of Enemies bookends. This is going to be one wild rollercoaster ride. 104 days to go! My predictions: 1. In The Presence of Enemies Pt.1 (1st part of epic song) 2. Forsaken 3. Constant Motion (Instrumental?) 4. The Dark Eternal Night (sounds like a metal song ) 5. Repentance (Pts. VIII & IX of AA saga) 6. Prophets of War (the fan track of course; political track in the vein of Great Debate and Sacrified Sons) 7. The Ministry of Lost Souls 8. In The Presence of Enemies Pt.2 (epic song finale)

Well if thats the case, I really hope we arent seeing 8 tracks full of just In The Name of God's and Sacrificed Sons...but if they are able to tie in their emotional and spirtual lyrics like in Blind Faith for example, that would be awsome.

You do know that fairy boy LaBrie is going to sing on these songs right? I don't care if the music sounds like fucking Cryptopsy, as soon as that douche opens his mouth, all heaviness is out the window. ...as funny as that was, i really do i hate the posters of blabbermouth

From some Blabbermouth moron: was one of their best. maybe with roadrunner, they will change direction somewhat. hopefully there will be some rap influence in Labrie's delivery. imagine him spitting crazy lyrics like this: ''images and words don't mean shit, as long as the cheque's in the mail, and we makin' dem hits' they certainly got the hoodie to roll with this:http://www.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sku=DRA37846 as long as Roadrunner is cutting the cheques, shit will be dope. As good as the RoadRunner deal should be for DT, I don't think I can stand having them associated with that hellhole of a site.

THAT was some funny shit, people thinkin DT went Christian.
