not that I'm there, but according to weatherchannel.com it's 10F with a wind chill that makes it -7F

it's just as cold where i'm at too, but i don't get the joy of chanting

How cold is it in NYC right now?

It's friggin' freezing, Mr. Bigglesworth. I just want out to 7-11 before and the gusts of wind are killer. It' always a few degrees warmer in Manhattan bcause of all the civilization, but gloves, hat, and scarf are highly reccomended if you don't want to suffer tremendously.

Oh yeah...and if any of you are hungry, Island Burger on 9th avenue between 50th and 52nd (forget where exactly) is also highly reccomended.

DAMN IT!!! Y DONT I LIVE IN NYC????????????

Put it this way... I just woke up in my dorm room freezing my ass off... and the heat is on!

This is the first time I regret the fact that I DON'T live in NYC...

heh, i wonder if MP took into consideration that people will need to thaw out a bit before chanting... i can hear it now... "RAH RAH RAH!! ... teeth chattering ... RAH RAH RAH!! brrrr... shivering ... RAH RAH RAH!!! ... sniffles... nose running ... RAH RAH RAH!!!"

Walking to the R train this morning was rediculous. I saw spilled coffee and ANTI-FREEZE frozen to the street (how in the hell does antifreeze freeze!?) My body was okay but every gust of wind feels like a smack across the face. I'm not looking forward to waiting outside for upwards of an hour. BUt I ain't complainin', just hope there's room 4 me.

12:48 EST at the time of this post.  DT fans should be gathering right now ready to "rush" the studio at 1 PM precisely, although you can bet there will be some "sooners" who will start the rush prematurely.

BRRRRRRRRRRRR ! According to CNN, it's 18F in NYC currently... feels like 3F with windchill. 

I just got a call from two of my friends that showed up for this....seems they got there a little after 12:30. There was already a line of people. A guy came out from the stuido and told everyone that if they did not have an envelope to go home, that they were not getting in. Seems that the first 50 people that showed up BEFORE the INSTRUCTED time of 1 pm were given an envelope. So now those that followed MP's instructions and showed up at 1 are being told they are SOL.
They are going to stay in the line to see what actually pans out. No one else is leaving either.

Hmm..sounds like a lack of communication or misunderstanding, regarding MP's wishes and what the studio people actually did. (handed out envelopes early). That's disappointing, for the fans who respected what MP asked and showed up on time.
