What do you remember about the early '92 dates?

Hey Mike! The reason I ask this question is because I noticed DT played Hammerhedz in Elmont (one of the first shows with James), and I literally live like down the block from it. (I know, sounds weird and obsessive, but a place as small as Elmont, it's really cool to me!) Of course, it's no longer Hammerhedz (metal and Elmont don't mix), it's now "Club Rum," some psyched out 40's-something bar/lounge/whatever. Ah, yes, thank you for the "Ert!" at BB Kings. If you saw the guy holding up the "!" that was me, going nuts. I'm a fool. Thanks! ============== http://www.fuzerocks.com "I have nipples, Greg. Could you milk me?" Hi Rob, Actually, the DT show at Hammerheadz was indeed James' VERY FIRST show with us ever! We were asked to open for Iron Maiden at the Ritz in NYC, and we wanted to get a few "warm-up" gigs under our belt with James in the band before doing such a high profile show, so that show was the very first one! I remember eating at the Diner across the street with Rod Smallwood (Maiden's manager) after the show that night.... Well, while we are being nostalgic - my history with that club goes WAY back before that..... Back in the early 80's, it was called "February's" and one of my old high school bands "Rising Power" used to play there every month! I was still in high school...11th or 12th grade...and I used to show my fake ID in order to play, hang out and drink there!! It was my first Metal Club hangout! (then I started going to L'Amour Brooklyn and Sundance in Bay Shore) If you have the Rising Power bootleg, you can even see some pictures of us hanging out at "Feb's" in the inside booklet.... (In fact, they may even be here at MP.COM in the photo gallery...) Keep a lookout in the future for some Rising Power - Live at February's footage on the Portnoy Archives!! MP
