Need help installing a CD-r drive...

Ok...I bought an external cd-r drive as an upgrade type thing. The existing (internal) drive on my computer is a 4x, which is the M: drive. I have already installed the new drive (D:) and when I tried to copy a cd, the D: drive is listed in the " record from" drive, but not the " record to" drive. How would I get the D: drive to be the " record to" drive? Edit: My computer is an HP Pavilion running Windows/ME.

No...I was afraid to mess shit up. Do I have to disable the existing recordable drive?

1) i would never trust copying from externals to internals or vice versa 2) i would never trust Windows ME my suggestion would be to create an IMAGE of the source CD onto ur harddrive and then copy from that image to a CD. Some programs for this; CloneCD Nero .....others those are the only two i use.
