Question for boot traders (and Setlist Scotty) Wednesday, February 05, 2003 4:14 PM (permalink)
Very soon, I' ll be making my (short) list of boots that I have and putting it up online so I can start trading with folks.

My question: When I list the boots, is it cool to put a link to a pre-existing setlist site (such as the one Scotty runs) instead of copying the setlist over myself onto a page that I am hosting? I don' t think this whole thing will take up much space, but I' m not sure so I want to save space where I can. So is this alright to do or should I really just host the setlists myself for the boots I have?

Dude, if you still have it and I have something you want to trade for, I most certainly will.

Scott' s currently on vacation at this time and probably won' t be checking the Forum for the next couple of weeks - You may wish to email him your questions.

His email link is available in his profile.

I' m assuming the site you' re talking about is Lines in the Sand. We wouldn' t have any problem with you linking there for setlists. I would say, however, that you' d have to have a huge bootlist for the setlists to make any noticeable dent in space on your site. So if you' ve got less than, say, 1500 boots, I would just do whatever is easier for you.

              Edit: I can' t spell...

Cool. Thanks Alpine. I was talking about LitS site.

Well, I' m not at 1500 yet, but very close (well, close is a relative term of course. )

Just curious, how are you related to the site? And how many other folks are related to it? I thought it was just Bogie and Scotty.
