and now for some out-of-the-box thinking......... MP-Drums Neil Peart-Drums It would be very interesting to see these two guys try to make the drums a lead instrument, plus they both wear sweet hats

MP-Drums Michael Kiske-Helloween Vox Oz Foxx-Stryper Guitar Andy La Rocque-King Diamond Guitar Arjen Anthony Lucassen-Ayreon Bass and Keys and Guitar Derek Sherinian-Keys Awesome dual/harmony leads, both with that " chirp" thingee happening. Kiske kicking much metal ass on the mic. Arjen is on the bass just because he' s great to have around for the songwriting and keys. Derek is Derek...

Who does Mike Portnoy have a desire to work with? Who has a desire to work with Mike Portnoy? names that come to mind: Steven Wilson Daniel Gildenlow Mike also has said likely the next " project" per say he does not want keyboards (rules out Derek Sherinian)and more likely wants to be heavy.

Another suggestion would be a double drumming thing..like maybe Terry Bozzio and MP playing on drums, and then Luis Conte on percussions...that would rule!

The Amazingly Cool Guys Supergroup Of DOOM~! (obviously picked because all of the people involved are great people and great musicians ) Drums: The Man Lead Guitar: Bryan May Second lead guitar: Ty Tabor Bass: John Entwistle, if he was still with us I think the interaction between Mike and Bryan would be cool, because Mike is a top chap, as is Ty and BHM is The Nicest Man In Rock. JE was a super-cool guy too, from what I' ve seen; he did an interview with Sound Control magazine. The interviewer was only meant to be at Ox' s house for a couple of hours, but ended up staying up to all hours checking out JE' s collection of guitars & basses and generally shooting the shit.
