DT & SCORE on VH1 Classic

VH1 Classic will be airing a 1 hr, abbreviated version of Dream Theater's upcoming DVD "Score" several times at the end of the month.

Each airing is preceeded with a 1 hr episode of Metal Mania co-hosted by Mike Portnoy & John Petrucci.

 

Here's a listing of few of the airings:

 

Fri 8/25:

--- DT on "Metal Mania" - 8pm EST/5pm PST

--- Score on "In Concert" - 9pm EST/6pm PST

 

--- DT on "Metal Mania" - 11pm EST/8pm PST

--- Score on "In Concert" - Midnight EST/9pm PST

 

Sat 8/26:

--- DT on "Metal Mania" - 1pm EST/10am PST

--- Score on "In Concert" - 2pm EST/11am PST

 

Sun 8/27:

--- DT on "Metal Mania" - 6pm EST/3pm PST

--- Score on "In Concert" - 7pm EST/4am PST

 

** Note that "VH1 Classic" is a different channel than "VH1"

yeah VH1 classic is THE music channel thats still awesome IMO.

This is one of the greatest things since sliced bread! I wonder if Eddie Trunk had anything to do with this?
Regardless, it is money time for them! You can't buy better advertising that this! Besides, many people who don't know who DT is will now possibly be exposed to them and become rabid fans like all of us, er just me.

I work in cable ad sales, and when I find that ideal match of business and network (golf shop advertising on the Golf Channel, card room ads on WSoPoker on ESPN), I always tell the business owner how every person watching their commercial on that network is a qualified prospect.
 
That's definitely the case for DT being on VH1 Classic.   Rush got tons of time on VH1C for R30, and DT deserves no less.

Eddie rules...I actually sat next to him at the RCMH show.  Chris Jericho was a few rows behind me as well.

This may be as Big Time as DT has gotten since they played PMU on MTV back in the day.
I really think this is a big deal for you guys, and hope it brings in many more disciples to The World of DT.
 
Since I'm pretty sure VH-1 Classic is probably watched more by old farts such as myself than the younger crowd, I'm expect you'll be reaching a whole new audience.
 
 
Now, do I watch the Friday night teaser, or wait four more days to get the whole thing, and then wait three more days after that, because I promised to watch it for the first time together with my bro-in-law, since real-life caused him to miss the show?

This may sound like a stupid question but...
Does that mean you also had control over what songs are on that mp3 stream? Cause that is a great lineup (doesn't spoil the "big" songs like Another Won, Raise The Knife, SDOIT, and Octavarium).
