Oh Mike... I feel so sorry for that shitty motherfucker. Hey, possibly I'll visit NYC soon... If I see him I promise I'll kick his fucking nuts for puting such a great person like you in trouble. But don't you panic, he'll be caught one of these days...and we'll all see him face the law and see his fucking face behind the bars, take it easy man, all right? We luv you Mike! The whole mexican forum (obviously along with MP.com also) are with you! -J PS: Is there any way to see the pig's picture? If it can't be posted, would anyone PM it to me? Thanks!

to me the most unbelievable thing about this is, is how much it shows what kind of a world we live in. i mean a drummer who is only wide-known in the music scene who has no exposure to "mainstream" sources of news and entertainment, has to deal with a crazy guy who impersonates him. i mean what the hell? i just dont get it really. if mike portnoy has to deal with this, than imagine what the big dumbass popstars deal with.hopefully they get rid of him for a long time seeing as it doesnt help to just throw him in for a little stint in jail. this dude needs to be out of society before things get worse for MP and anyone else his craziness comes in contact with.

This really sucks....I felt really bad for Mike when this initially happened and feel bad now that this is still the case.....Identity theft is a major problem in the world today, though rarely does it go so far as to someone actually impersonating another indiidual.. Though in reading this thread, I think there are a few main points that would help to identify this scumbag pretty quick. 1. Mike Portnoy does not drink or use drugs. If your Mike Portnoy is doing either than chances are its not the real Mike Portnoy. 2. Mike Portnoy is not homosexual. If your Mike Portnoy is trying to pick you up and you are male, chances are, it is not the real Mike Portnoy. I hope they nail this clown fast.....what he probably needs is quite honestly a good ass kicking....perhaps if jail didnt teach him his lesson, maybe that would....

Dear Mike, Maybe there is a possibility that you can kind of 'lure' the imposter to a certain place. Or maybe you can somehow 'invite' him to talk to you, there can be several reasons.

It shouldn't have to be MP's problem...but he's involved because the idiot is trying to steal his identity and use it for really ignorant, criminal things. +10000000000. Let the police do what they are trained to do, and let MP enjoy his work-filled vacation

ORIGINAL: Raymitox Pardon my ignorance (the language barrier again), but what does unstickied mean? a thread is "stickied" when it stays up at the top on the main page. (i.e. the amazing journey shirts thread) Then eventually it becomes "unstickied" and returns to being a normal thread that moves up and down as people post.

ORIGINAL: Raymitox Pardon my ignorance (the language barrier again), but what does unstickied mean? This post was "stickied" or "pinned" to the top of page 1, like announcements from Mike and important MP/DT news usually are. It was "unstickied" or "unpinned" meaning that now it floats the same as any other thread, depending on new posts to bring it back to the front. And yeah... that's one weird first post, portnoyfan

I didn't ment to be 'freaky' or something. But you see it all the time.. maybe Mike can lure the imposter to a room where law enforcers are, he doesn't really have to be there, mike's safety first.. but this guy has to be caught. But how did he get out of jail.. this is kind of a serious problem.

But how did he get out of jail.. this is kind of a serious problem. Why did he get out of jail....well...he served his time as mandated by the court and was released...For alot of people, that punishment would be enough and they would be unlikely to go back to the tactics that got them sent to the pokey in the first place...for this guy, obviously that is not the case so perhaps he needs more time to reflect. As for meeting him, communicating with him or luring him...that type of thing would be somewhat of a victory for this individual. Mike coming face to face with the guy would to a certain extent be giving the guy what he wanted... Reminds me of an interiew I read with Geddy Lee of Rush where a fan had done something stupid like thrown a bottle on stage or something like that and was arrested and held...Geddy wanted badly to confront the guy and let him know how he felt about him and what he did, but decided against it for the reason that that would be in a sense giving the guy a treat (meeting Geddy) in return for a boorish and illegal act that could have gotton someone hurt....I think this situation on some levels falls under the same catagory. The good news is that unlike most cases of identity theft where the culprit is discreet, this guy tends to be right out in the open and pretty brash about it...that makes him much easier to catch...not to mention that authorities know who he really is...He cant hide forever.. What a douchebag...

Yeah but what I ment was.. (like you see on the TV) mostly the suspect has something physologically wrong. He wants to be Mike so bad.. because one or another reason. So maybe talking could help it. But I agree with you that it's wrong to give the suspect what he wants. But maybe if we make a world map. When someone has information about the location the imposter is being.. you can upload the map and highlight the point the guy is. (With exact informations). Then people who are on that location (This forum has a lot of members, so we will probably be world-wide) can help catch the guy. (by making contact with local authorities, or e-mail the webmaster of this site). But how 'bad' is this thing really in the eyes of the authorities. (I know this is killing for you Mike). But could it become a case for FBI.
