      How cheap is cheap?

I saw this set at musiciansfriend for $1900 U.S.--brand new

I' ve had pcy80s stereo cymbal triggers for years. I beat em up everyday, and they still work great. I dont think its a defect, you just hit too hard.

And just FYI (since there' s a thread here about selling e-drums), I' m trying to sell my Roland V-Club kit that isn' t on eBay...yet.

        Specs are here: http://www.rolandus.com/products/details.asp?catid=5&subcatid=22&prodid=V%2DClub+Set

Been played about 15 hours, this set' s in awesome condition. Throwing in throne, pedal, sticks, and two instructional books. Asking $950 OBO.

Cheap is asking for considerably less then half of what i paid...

I bought the kit sept. 2001 for $5000 (canadian) and I added a cymbal pad and cymbal stand...

By the way drumming toad, have you heard me / see me play before?

Didn;t think so, but I guess you know how hard I hit, right...

woah dude...relax...i think that was a sarcastic comment juding by the " " at the end of it...

i had the same problem...i have a roland set...recently...they changed the mounting brackets to metal from the plastic that would eventually snap real bad...for me it wasnt so much a defect as a terrible design flaw...

The indeed tried to denote humor.

Actually I did download drumphils solo a while back during the " forum drum contest" . Great stuff if I remember correctly. Did anyone finally win that?

I never heard of this " defect" , tho. I' ve got seven of those cymbal triggers, and three of them are four years old. I dont know how hard you hit, but I do know how hard I hit. Its pretty simple math. broken stuff=hitting too hard.<--more(attempts at)humor.

I hope you get what you want for it, but Yamaha' s prices have tanked recently. I have around $3800 into my kit, but I could build it brand new for around $2400. I dont think yamaha is gonna be able to compete in the e-kit market.

sorry, I get a bit defensive some times...

especially when it comes to people criticising my drumgming, no hard feelings..

I am just pissed off that I am going to lose so much $ on a pretty much brand new kit :(

I lowered my price on ebay but we will see what happens !

                  prog on !!
