If you' re not buying locally, the absolute best deal would likely be Midwest Percussion.

      www.midwestpercussion.com

Go to their page, and email them asking for a quote with the sizes you want or give them a call at their 1-800 number (it' s on the webpage). I ordered a 7-pc Starclassic Maple kit recently and it was a lot cheaper than I expected it to be.
This is the email price quote I got a while back:

Tama Starclassic Maple kit in Marine Blue Fade (MBF) with the following sizes:

      18" x 22" bass SMB2218...................$799.95
      7" x 8" tom-tom SMT0807...................$249.95
      8" x 10" tom-tom SMT1008...................$284.95
      9" x 12" tom-tom SMT1209...................$319.95
      11" x 14" tom-tom SMT1411...................$399.95
      13" x 16" tom-tom SMT1613...................$475.95
      5 1/2" x 14" snare SMS1455F...................$295.95

That is *without* hardware (as most Starclassic Maple kits are sold) and their hardware prices are quite good as well. Everyone I' ve shown this price quote to has told me to BUY NOW. So I did.

I should be recieving my drums in about 3-4 months (I' m banking on 4-5, though). <dance, dance>

        Holy sh*t.

That' s half-price of what we pay for SC' s in Europe.

        Lucky bastards.

My local shop, www.drumcenter.com , regularly does deals just over half off of the list price, as these seem to be. You may want to recheck the local shops as some will match even online quotes just to get your business. Then you don' t have to pay shipping!
