Holy moly I am excited.  I've been listening to the mp3 teasers, Amazon.com samples, the mp3.com thing, and the ecard over and over.  I hope Best Buy has this on the 29th.  I don't think I'll be able to wait any longer...  It just sounds so good.

Same here (listening to TSCO right now).My Best Buy had both the Budokan dvd and cd the day they came out,so I'm sure they will have Score on the 29th.

hey im jw if there is anyway to like SAVE tha mp3 stream on a computer?

I just receive a call from my brother, he received a message from the manager of Saharis saying that today they received the Score DVD...
He bought it!!! and there are only 7 copies left on the store... Saharis Las Torres in Monterrey.... price is $329 pesos
I cant wait to watch it!!! and tonight is the night!!!

NOTE. It seems that the cd´s didnt arrived, only the DVD.

i wouldnt go there for nothing.. so i want to make sure because i ask when will it arrive on mixup in "valle oriente" but they told me like 2 weeks after the release in usa..

So everyone have been praising the new DVD (godamnit, where's my copy?! :( ), and for good reason. But, what about malfunctions?
Has anyone spotted any yet?

Stuff like sound and picture not syncing? Translation that is cut off-screen?

I think I watched the DVD so excited that I couldnt see any malfunctions  
 

Besides the layer change being in the middle of war inside my head I didn´t noticed any malfunctions..
 
Also, i´m no video/sound expert but compared to LaB this DVD seems to have a worse picture quality..  soundwise they are very similar but I did noticed that there are some parts were the orchestra seems to be very low in the mix. maybe it´s beacuase I have a very cheap home theater system.  but who cares anyway..  DVD is Great!

Or maybe it's because this DVD also defaults to 5.1 and u don't have 5.1 ? (possible)

absolutely amazing, I cannot wait. I unfortunately was unable to attend the show so now I get to see just how amazing it was. This is an exciting time for Dream Theater and you MP, so congratualtions and enjoy, at least until the next album masterpiece is conceived.

Purchased Score this afternoon (it's 00:27 here), watched it, cried, laughed, applaused. This dvd will be remembered, and you guys in DT will also be remembered, not only for this AWESOME show, this marvelous gift you made us by recording it, but also for these past 20 years of pure bliss you gave us.
 
I just can't say enough about your music make me feel. I just have no word to add sufficient emphasis to this humble message. You just rule :)

I got my copy today also, but it's not playing in 5.1 for some reason. I know that I can play 5.1 and my receiver is showing that it's playing from all the speakers. On my LAB DVD the 5.1 drops out at during New Millenium also.

Oh I guess I missed that. Is there something I could still do to get mine replaced?

I got the 5.1 working on Score though. I was confused because sound would come out of the back speakers during a sound test. but nothing would come out during DVDs.

The DVD is awesome and I saw myself at a distance in the crowd!

Ok, i just watched the entire concert, and all i got to say is:

HOLY F*CKING SHIT!
This is the best music dvd EVER!
I was really blown away by the awesomeness of what i heard and saw.
You know, i really love the Budokan DVD, and i expected something like that. But Score exeded my wildest dreams.

When i finished set 1 i thought, that the second set could never be that great as the first.
But it was!
Can't wait to watch the concert again!

Mike, i want to thank you, the rest of DT too of course and everyone who took part in the making of this awesome DVD.

edit: Oh i forgot to mention how much i loved James' performance.

Picked them up last night, didn't get much chance to watch or listen till today.  OK, actually, I somewhat lie...I did watch the performance of Octavarium last night, and I'm listening to the CDs now...

And after 2 listens to Octavarium with the orchestra, I still find the hairs on my arms standing on end, and a lump in my throat.

Brilliant.

Watched the VH1 Classic stuff this afternoon, and I literally had chills when the Score portion was starting. Just knowing what was coming and knowing what the guys must have felt like playing RCMH was just unreal. Very few bands can do that to me.

I agree. I had chills just sitting in my living room watching it again - even more so during the concert, especially when it started getting towards the end and realizing that this moment in DT history was coming to an end.

It's funny, but, and I don't know if you agree or if anyone else does, but DT is one of the few bands I listen to where I can get an impression of their personalities and their characters as people through their music and sort of...just understand where they come from when they write a song. I get that with people like Ben Folds, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, and other bands, but it really hits me hard with Dream Theater ESPECIALLY when I watch live stuff or go to a concert.

I just got the cd today and I already have my dvd separated so I can pick it up tomorrow. The audio is awesome. James rules in this one and the music is amazing. Can't wait to watch!
