RE: Are you a stereotypical metalhead?

I'm gonna be 34 in August, if I dressed like I did in high school and still had the hair that didn't move (hooray for Aquanet!) and the Megadeth backpatch on my jacket I'd probably be sitting at the bar in Glenwood with the a lot of the people I hung out with in High School. A lot of them are still there, look the same, doing the same thing day after day. I think you can still be true to yourself and your loves in music without getting stuck in the stereo type, though. There will always be those that judge by what they see and hear and not bother to get to know the person, though. I know there's a couple mom's at Rhiannon's school that have raised their eyebrows at me (so what if my kid and I have matching striped knee socks from Hot Topic ). Since it's kind of on topic, I wonder how many of us would be hanging out and talking if this was actually a high school and not just an online forum? Would some of us have even given others a second look? A lot of people say that online is a fake place, but when it comes to the right people, I think you get to know people better because you can't see them. My, I'm being phlisophical today (even if I can't spell it)...must be because of the long weekend coming up.

I dress like an account weekday's and quasi Portnoy on the weekends... cut off camo shorts and a DT shirt or insert funny/cool t-shirt here. But whoever said METAL is on the inside not the outside is correct.

It's the same title, but a different song. The Into The Pit by Halford is actually on the first Fight CD.

Like everyone else, it's definatley inside. People NEVER guess what I listen to based on looks (then again, I listen to a lot of stuff, so their guess may be correct.) For instance, if you saw a guy wearing plaid shorts, black mountain bike t-shirt and a Red Sox hat getting into a yellow sportswagon-what would YOU expect me to listen to? Yeah. Probably not Slayer.

I guess that I can be considered a typical metal head. I have long hair. And you pretty much never see me in something other then regular old jeans and a t-shirt bought at a concert.
