First off, Missa Mercuria ROCKS! Great pickup at Progpower. DC Cooper, Vanden Plas, what more can you want?

BUT..track 8, the self-title track has a SHOCKING resemblance to one of DT' s classics..The Ytse Jam.

If you haven' t bought this album, do yourself a favor and pick it up.

If you have, did you guys recognize this?

I don' t have it, but several people do. The only one I know of for sure is Drummrman.

Ive had this disc for months (got the promo), and it simply rocks. However you forgot another key player in the band who is, David Readman lead singer for PC69 (Pink Cream 69).

The CD is great , and has great production too, however I dont think that track is that similiar to Ytse Jam.

DC Cooper also makes some stellar performances on the disc, all in all a must have for this year as noted in the best of 2002 thread by me.

Yep Missa Mercuria is awesome, I talked with DC about it PPUSA. It seemed to be a labor of love for him, he wrote the whole thing and worked with Gunter Werno and the other musicians (Stephen Lill,Alex Beyrodt and Alex Koffler among others) to make this great concept rock opera come through. It is definitley one of the heavier and most progressive (IMO) rock operas I have listened to in the last few years, much better than Avantasia or Genius. I recommend it to everyone.

Yes, I did. I love his voice, he' s a wonderful frontman...both on the PC albums and on this disk.

I got my hands on this today. Wow, I have not been too impressed with the glut of rock opera' s that have seemend to pop up lately. But this one is very well written and has an amazong performance by DC Cooper and everyone involved. I recommend people tracking this down.

I see the resemblance in the intro between 0:44 - 1:00. But there is so much other stuff going on in this song. It' s a good homage though. Great CD!
