Southern Rock has a special place in my heart. I always loved the band Blackfoot and if you lived in NJ in the late 70's & early 80's NJ was a stomping ground for Blackfoot who uprooted from Florida and lived in NJ during the 70's. They lived, fished and hunted all around the western part of the state an as they played around here often. I used to go see them all the time at a club at Greenwood Lake can't remeber the name of it now! The Showplace in Dover, The Stanhope House.
Jackson Spires is and was the drummer for Blackfoot and was just a great guy to party with as were the rest of the band.
It' seems Jackson has suffered a stroke
Also the voice of Molly Hatchet, Danny Joe Brown has died, damn I'm getting old!
